The idea for this project came from the 9 year old daughter of one of our directors, Mariana Kind.  We have had three sessions now between two classes, one in Dakar, Senegal, and one in St. Petersburg, Florida, USA.  The sessions are planned so that the children prepare questions to ask on a specific topic.  They have discussed their schools, neighborhoods, hobbies, etc.  We feel that sharing this information helps to show the students what similarities and differences exist between them.  They feel more connected to each other, bringing their villages together...
