Making progress…

Updated: Nov 13, 2020

For three days now, we’ve been doing nothing but repairing desks, and moving them into the classrooms. I’m really exhausted, but as of now 9 of the 15 classrooms have usable desks. The classes will not begin until Monday. So we still have a some time left.

This is the director of the high school:

Jean Jacques Manga. I love his last name. This is his first year acting as the Director, and they only brought him to the school three days before classes were to begin. There’s so much to do, and so little time.

At first, I really wanted to do everything perfectly for the students, but of course that takes way too much time. So I remembered something my former teacher, Ryan Pitcher, told me once. “Don’t let perfect get in the way of done.“ So now we’re really concentrating just on having a seat for every student, it might not be perfect yet, but we’ll keep trying!

This was my crew for the first two days. Benois, Antoine, Daniel, and Kaissa were helping so much and I am so appreciative to them. One is a senior, and the other three juniors in the school.
